Designed with the professional photographer in mind, the ET220 is a microprocessor based timer and is the latest addition to Unique Systems ET series of enlarger timers.
No other timer is easier to use – whilst having so many features!
A single control (Incremental Encoder) is used to set the time.
So what is an incremental encoder? - It’s a
SMART switch with 50 positions, each click of the switch is decoded
into an UP or DOWN count, so rotating clockwise increases the
count whilst rotating anti–clockwise decreases the count.
There's no need to watch the dial, just turn it and watch
the display change – simple!
The ET220 uses a SOLID-STATE RELAY (SSR)
SSRs have superior switching characteristics to coil relays found
in ordinary timers and are ideally suited to interfacing with
high power and cold-cathode enlargers. A further advantage of
SSRs is that they are totally silent and vibration free.
A large (0.56 in) 3 – Digit red LED display is used. The brightness can be altered by pressing a single key (there are 5 levels).
The other main keys are illuminated and their brightness level is also adjustable.
